Mapping on a child's mind With no boundaries at all And can see anything, anyone, beyond belief This place is more or less an island Where mermaid's lagoon just offshore. Situated on "second star to the right And straight on till morning" Metaphor for eternal childhood and escapism Can be reached only by flight But may try as well thru daydreaming. I fall out from the pram Not claimed by any in seven days Picked up by the fairy, flown to this land Fairies welcomed me by swarm While half-fishes combed their hair in a lazy way. Stars in the firmament are shining Watchful and beautiful But living sadly and in strange existence While the young ones are playful, believing Spread my arms to become wonderful.
