The Unscented Flower
You are the unscented flower in this ugly field
A vulnerable wealthy weed with no value
Like a lightless fortress over the hill and the land far away
And a forgotten pledge in a world with amnesia
Written in the sand, blew by the wind
Read by the blind mind and heard by the deaf heart
While the vow was touched and felt by the numb hand
You are a prisoner of your own gaol
Caged by your imaginary fence
So rich floret who are you?
You forgot your roots and the land who nurtured you
Now settling in infertile soil in a barren area of land
The seeds are worthless and so are you
For you are barred to share your pollen grains
Little by little the thin plate for a fairy is falling and fading along with the hue
Struggling to recognize the butterflies and the bees
And so the caring hand who's undyingly loving you.
