The end of your story

R. H. Garbo - 3.18.2021 12:55 PM

"Who are you?" You asked
I had to smile at your innocent naivete
"I am the end of your story" I replied
After you slid down
At the end of my rainbow
And was surprised
to find me
here, waiting.
Hand in hand
We did the stereotypical walking
Through the colorful path,
green and pink
blue and yellow
The breeze chasing after us
With a frisky dance
Through the purple
swaying wild flowers
We run and laugh
Like free souls.
"Where have I seen you before?"
you asked
"Perhaps at the end of your dreams",
I said
You did not ask anymore.
And so we lived.
Not entirely happily ever after
But, girl, we lived.
