Last Silent Glance
1.10.2008
Things pulling in different directions,
The tension of opposites,
Nervous laughter echoing in my intention,
And jestering all my wits........
I serenely sat in a middle chair,
For another glimpse I dream,
Hoping to see you there,
Not your stressful eyes to scream.....
Half-asleep I am when I walk
away from your surrender spot,
Apology if I don't want to talk,
For I don't know how to start.........
Tears rolled off the side of my face,
Almost empty is my tank,
In the wooden box is the pretty lace,
While singing dirges in the dark.......
Looking for something from somewhere else,
But I'm not getting anywhere at all,
My last silent glance for a lovely face,
Before I dig the hole for my soul.................
