God’s control mechanism: Law of Universal Gravitation

God permitted some things to float in the sky, such as dust, clouds, creatures with wings and ability to fly, things that could work and sustain against gravitational pull, and anything lighter than air.

On the other hand, and with God permission also, humans invented and developed things to glide above like airplanes, or the likes of balloons, sky lanterns and kites, but these are within the limited timeline only.  Nothing was invented to float endlessly in the sky, even the well-propelled machines and artificial satellites.  And even winged- birds created by God are getting tired and need to rest to their nest.

Mankind courtesy of the Wright Brothers - Orville and Wilbur, had high dreams to fly high and stay in the sky, besides many people tried it before even in ancient times.

Fortunately and as allowed by heaven, they invented in 1903 those floating things heavier than air that could be steered, controlled, powered and sustained in the atmosphere and that big thing is really roaring in the sky now.  There’s no bad from that, the mere fact that this invention provided channel of rapid travel for people and emphasized the significant progress of mankind.

However, along the development and fulfillment of ambitious dreams are the conceited values of human, while reaching the sky, the increasing arrogance of human was quantified at consistent and escalating mode.  Like what happened to Tower of Babel.

Tower of Babel – Genesis 11:4

Historically and Biblically speaking, God placed the man in the soil, for he (Adam) came from it (Genesis 2:7).  With this viewpoint, He just reminding mankind that while we’re reaching the sky (symbolizes the fame and glory) due to our patience and hard work, we should stay humble and be grounded.  Man only fulfills his living being by becoming a ‘good soil’.

Conversely, we might still take note that our mind and heart can soar high in reaching the sky, but our spirit and consciousness should remain on the floor.

Lesson we should learn and look for is the Law of Universal Gravitation: “All things we throw up, must go down, no matter how long we stayed on the top or in the sky, we will still fall into the ground.”

In view of this, we should grasp this rule of gravitational pull, literally, figuratively and in idiomatic interpretations, this Law of Universal Gravitation is God’s control mechanism to teach and tame us.
